91% of global consumers are likely to switch brands to one associated with a good cause, given comparable price and quality.
There are many innovative and creative ways in which your company can help the African Children’s Choir® and Music for Life improve the lives of thousands of suffering African children.
Partnering with the African Children’s Choir and Music for Life will not only enable us to reach out to more vulnerable children, it will also have a positive impact on your company’s outlook, employee engagement, brand and social responsibility strategy.
We are open to discuss any potential corporate partnership, be it financial or through the donation of goods, skills or services.
Here are just a few ways in which you and your workforce could support us in helping Africa’s most vulnerable children today, so they can help Africa tomorrow…
Many companies offer matching gift programmes to their employees. These can double or sometimes even triple your charitable contributions.
To find out if your company offers this scheme, talk to your human resource department, and then contact us, and we will be happy to assist with the paperwork.
Simple, tax-free charitable giving directly from your pay. Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax so each £1.00 you give will only cost you 80p, and if you’re a higher rate taxpayer it will only cost you 60p.
Under the Give as You Earn Scheme, you can authorise your employer to deduct your charitable donation from your payroll before calculating Give as You Earn tax and then forward your donation to The Music for Life Academy (parent of the African Children’s Choir).
Preferred Charity – Fundraising
Staff events such as an annual awards evening, a bake sale or a family fun day, can not only be motivational for your team, they can be a great way to raise money for a good cause. As your preferred charity, we’d be honoured for you to raise money for us at such events.
Donation via sales
There is a clear way to show your consumers that you are committed to supporting a charity, and that’s by donating a percentage of the purchase price of your product or service. 91% of consumers will change brands to ones who support a cause if price and quality are comparable. What better way to promote your commitment to a cause than at the point of sale where they make that decision?
As well as the cost of touring the African Children’s Choir around the world, we also run many relief and education projects helping thousands of vulnerable children every week across 7 of Africa’s most in-need countries. Maybe your company, team or department would like to sponsor a project, a tour, or a group of children? We would keep you updated on how the money you raise is helping in that particular area – you may even want to take the opportunity to visit your project as a team-building exercise.
Donation of Goods or Services
We depend on the good-will of the people whose hearts the children have touched in order to keep the Choir on the road. We’d be delighted to hear from you if you could donate anything that could help us on tour or in our offices. Such as travel (flights, bus), hotel accommodation, IT equipment, AV/production equipment. Maybe your office is having an upgrade in computers and you would like to donate old laptops or printers?
Donation of Skills
How about this for motivation? Make one of your staff members feel valued in their skills by offering them to us for a day, or maybe even a week? Your employee will feel gratified in knowing that you advocate their skills, and they’ll feel pride in using those skills to help a good cause. Or maybe your company would like to do some free-of-charge work for us to use in your portfolio, like photography, video production, or app design?
What can we offer you?
Depending on the level of giving we have several opportunities where we can promote your brand or offer you and your employee’s unique interaction with the charity.
We publish a concert magazine which is distributed to all the attendees at our concerts. An acknowledgement or advert could be placed here to show all of our audience members that you are supporting us.
Our website and social media pages are frequently visited and interacted with. Your support could be published here.
If you were to sponsor an entire project in Africa, we would be happy for you to bring a team out to meet the children whose lives you had impacted and get involved in lessons, games and singing.
Of course our most special and unique offering to you, as a thank you, would be the Choir themselves. We could schedule a visit during one of our UK tours for a live performance, which would be great for a family fun day or awards ceremony. Or, we could offer a workshop as a team-building event, getting your employees together to learn authentic dance and song from the talented children themselves, why not put on a performance with the Choir at the end of the day? Meet the Choir children and see how the African Children’s Choir programme has changed their lives forever.
