The evening of June 4th 2012 will always be a memorable occasion for the children of the choir as they performed the number one hit single ‘Sing’, as part of the Commonwealth Band, at The Diamond Jubilee Concert.
The concert took place against the stunning backdrop of Buckingham Palace in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s 60 year reign. The choir performed alongside Gary Barlow, Andrew Lloyd Webber and The Military Wives Choir.
This week, the children have received a letter of thanks from Buckingham Palace. The letter describes the performance as ‘a highlight of the evening’ and goes on to say that they have ‘received many compliments from the public’.
The letter came with ‘the Queen’s good wishes and gratitude’ and thanked the choir for their ‘significant contribution to the success of the event.’
A massive congratulations to all of the children in the choir, this is an extraordinary achievement.
